Safety Services Ltd
Delivering the UK’s Leading Independent & Impartial Fire Door Inspection Service under a UKAS Accredited Inspection Scheme.
Fully Accredited Fire Door Installation Qualification Training, Firestopping Surveys and Fire Risk Assessments – all designed to help with RRO Compliance.
Why do you need a Fire door Inspection? The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies to all buildings other than domestic housing, but includes common areas of apartment dwellings and flats, replacing 118 pieces of fire safety legislation, including Fire Service ‘Fire Certificates’ which are no longer valid.
As the designated ‘Responsible Person’ you are responsible in law for the safety of everyone in the building.
A ‘Suitable and Sufficient’ Fire Risk Assessment should be in place.
The regular inspection and maintenance of both Active and Passive fire protection devices are your responsibility.
A Fire Door Inspection should be carried out at 6-monthly intervals by a Competent Person, and any defects or remedial actions identified during the inspection effected as soon as practicably possible.
Current Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order legislation can be found here >>

Our Services
Fire Door Inspection
A Fire Door Inspection will quickly establish if you and your premises are fully compliant with current fire safety legislation. Based on a recent risk assessment or building conditions survey, our inspector will visit your premises and make recommendations to ensure compliance is achieved.
Fire Risk Assessment
A suitable Fire Risk Assessment then is not a ‘standard’ document and will differ greatly from one building (business) to another – perhaps even between two very similar business premises.
The BS PAS 079 methodology promotes a structured approach to the preparation of a Fire Risk Assessment with clear steps in the ongoing fire risk assessment process.
Fire Stopping Surveys
Our fire stopping surveys will identify failings in compartment walls. Our detailed reports identify the location where the issues occur and where possible make recommendations for remedial works. We can provide a professional ‘Clerk of Works’ service in a new build scenario to ensure fire stopping has been installed
Clerk Of Work Services
Our experience, training, and certification as fire door inspectors ideally and uniquely qualify us to, in effect, act as a ‘CoW’ as far as fire door installations are concerned whether we are engaged by the architect, the client, or indeed the builder.
