Credit where it’s due!
We can’t name the contractor, or indeed the project, for reasons of confidentiality but it’s so refreshing to meet a contractor that actually wants to do things properly.
We were contacted by the contractor directly who explained they were fitting some new fire doors in a school and as they had no Third Party Certification they wanted everything “signed off by a specialist” so they could give their client added security and piece of mind by proving the firedoors were compliant..
We went through the services we offer and it was agreed we would carry out a survey following the installation.
When we did there were, unsurprisingly, a number of minor issues, but rather than debate or question our views which happens so often we were greeted with a “Great, we’ll get right on it.” and that’s exactly what they did.
The result is a Dashboard that shows 100% compliance – and we NEVER get that even with ‘Certified’ installers.
